Madhuting Tea Pvt Ltd is a small company, nestled in a quaint village by the same name. It’s located in the picturesque Upper Assam region. It comprises two bountiful estates that are now praised for their outputs. At Madhuting, we produce both orthodox and CTC teas. Hatimara is a fully clonal estate. Single leaves are rigorously chosen for their affinity to climate and soil.

The pride of our tea gardens are the community of tea pluckers. Over the years, they have acquired precise skills and an innate ability in identifying the right bud and leaf with the highest potential of rich aroma and flavour.
The nearly 550 womenfolk are cared for. Their well-being is important to us.
The Madhuting team comprises nearly 1100 wage earners, over 50% of which are women. The department works in harmony with a single-minded mission – to bring the finest teas to the world.
The Company has a capacity to produce 1300 MT of Vermicompost from Madhuting & Hatimara Tea Estates. This futuristic move towards lowering dependence on synthetic fertilizers, by transforming organic waste into a nutritional source for our tea plants, has our unwavering commitment. We have taken this crucial step to help preserve both soil and the environment.
Vermi-compost enhances microbial activity in the soil, promoting plant growth, soil aeration, texture, structure and reduces soil compaction. It helps improve both micro and macro nutrients status of the soil.
Organic farming methods like
vermicomposting have boosted the nutritional quality and fertility of the soil. We strive to pluck the finest. Choosing the right leaves comes naturally to our tea pluckers. Only the best quality tea leaves reach our factories.
We care for the land. Mapping soil nutrition and following crop patterns are just some of the ecofriendly practices we implement. We continually replace old bushes with high-yielding clonal varieties annually to maintain bushes in the optimized production group. Hygiene practices such as steaming of equipment / machinery in the factory is of paramount importance to us.
Madhuting Tea Company is conscious of conservation of the natural resources and maintenance of the environment. Afforestation and conservation of wildlife play a big part in our efforts. The company is also vigorously pursuing solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

Orthodox teas leaves are the traditional produce with long leaf and flavoury, where milk need not be added to savour the flavour.
CTC (Crush, Tear & Curl) teas are granular with stronger malty liquors, which also give more cuppage. Usually milk is added to enhance its taste.
